KLM Back in Sri Lankan Skies
Dutch flag carrier KLM, which turns 97 in October, will resume direct flight services to Sri Lanka, in a bid to provide the country with a boost in terms of inbound and outbound tourism. Previously operating about thrice weekly in the island, before its pull-out in 1997, KLM will now be operating two flights a week in the upcoming winter season, between Amsterdam and Colombo. Sri Lanka will be among the 140 countries served by the airline.
