Day 1


Arrival, welcome & assistance at the airport then leave for Sigiriya en-route visit Negombo. It is largely Roman Catholic by faith, with huge imposing churches down almost every street. The sea & the catamarans are the backdrop to the Negombo scenery. At P.M.visit Sigiriya located in the north-central part of Sri Lanka, it preserves the architectural tradition of the country. The town is famous for its Rock, Gardens and Sanctuary. Sigiriya has spectacular importance in Sri Lanka. It is an ancient palace complex, erected during the reign of King Kasyapa,and it has been declared by UNESCO as a world heritage site. Return to the hotel for the overnight stay .

Day 2


After breakfast an excursion to Polonnaruwa, the second ancient capital city for three centuries, is one of the most interesting places in Sri Lanka with many well preserved ruins of palaces and monasteries. At P.M. leave for Anuradhapura & visit the ruins of the first capital founded in the 05th century BC it has the largest number of ancient monuments of a great civilization. World Heritage city Anuradhapura, in picturesque ruins, was once a major center of Sri Lankan civilization. Return back to your hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 3


After breakfast leave for Kandy en-route visit Dambulla. In Sri Lankan history Dambulla cave complex dates back to 3rd and 2nd centuries BC. It is known that even before the making of the complex it was well established as one of the largest monasteries in Sri Lanka. Dambulla caves have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is also known for bird watching. Later on you can visit the Nalanda Gedige the Abu Simbel of Sri Lanka. Nalanda Gedige is one of a number of remarkable archaeological sites in Sri Lanka then en route to kandy visit a spice garden & a batik factory in Matale. In the evening arrive at an hotel in Kandy,which is the the center of the traditional arts in Sri Lanka and you can visit the temple of the sacred totooth relic of the Buddha too . Return to the hotel for the overnight stay .

Day 4


After breakfast leave for Pinnawela & visit the elephant Orphanage. The orphanage was established to feed nurse & house young elephants abandoned by their mothers. During the drough period the young ones often fall into pits and ravines in their quest for water .At P.M. visit the city of Kandy. The most famous landmark of Kandy is its lake, in the center of the city. You can then visit the Kandy Museum. Late in the evening view the Kandyan cultural performance .Return to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 5


After breakfast visit the royal botanical gardens of Peradeniya which is well known for its large variety of plants The garden is best known for its collection of orchids the largest in Asia. At P.M. leave for Nuwaraeliya the center of hill country, en-route visit a tea plantation and witness the manufacture of the world famous Ceylon tea . Gregory Lake is one of attractive locations in Nuwaraeliya and Shanthipura (the city view point). You can then spend the evening walking in the cool climate. Arrive at the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 6


After breakfast leave for Tissamaharama Region Stop at Ella to admire the magnificent view. You can then visit Buduruwagala. The name Buduruwagala means the rock with the statue of Buddha and this is exactly what it is. The rock has taken shape of a kneeling elephant. The statues date back to 10 century AD. You can then visit the sacred city of Kataragama. At P.M get ready for a great safari in the Yala Park. You can cruise around in a jeep and enjoy the elephants which are undoubtedly the best known attraction at Yala. They are seen in small & large herds and herds of spotted deer are seen all over the park too . Monkeys-the pinkish rhesus and the Grey-faced Langur Monkey live and play on the tree-tops and the ground below. Wild buffalo & wild boar could startle you with their appearance or the leopard sunning itself and drinking water from an water hole . Arrive at the hotel for the overnight stay..

Day 7


After breakfast leave for Galle en route view the Still fisherman of Weligama fishing, then visit the Old Portuguese fort, later rebuilt and extended by the Dutch which is still a fine preservation. Most of the administration of G alle still takes place from the fort .The view from the ramparts is superb The Galle fort is a world heritage site and the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers. You can then continue towards Colombo.. At P.M visit the fascinating city of Colombo which links the past with the present. You will visit the fort area, the commercial center, Pettah Colombos bustling bazaar area, cinnamon garden which comprises of large residences. Return to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 8


After breakfast get ready for the transfer to the airport in order to connect the flight for departure. Rooms are available untill 12h00 in the afternoon. Upon arrival at Cochin, our Executive will meet you at the Airport followed by the transfer to the hotel. (Overnight at Cochin) [Transport: Vehicle only for arrival transfer] Note: Sight Seeing will be organized depending on the flight schedule.

Day 9

COCHIN- PERIYAR (180 km - 5 h)

Check out from hotel after breakfast drive to Periyar (also known as Thekkady). The name Periyar comes after the Dam made here by the English in 1895. On arrival check on to hotel and in the evening you would leave for an guided plantation tour to an nearby garden where various types of spices and other aromatic plants are cultivated. The guide explains & clarifies your doubts on this tour and also depending on the days opportunity you will also be taken to visit a tea factory nearby. (Overnight at Periyar)

Day 10

PERIYAR- ALLEPPEY (150 km- 4 h)

Check out from the hotel after breakfast and drive to Alleppey - the land of Backwaters. Upon arrival embark onto the private House boat that is waiting to take you on a tour through the backwaters, a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. You can sunbathe on the deck or observe the landscape from the protection of the cabin. The populations whole life takes place here on the water. The people sail, fish, swim and bathe here. They do their washing and their washing up. They are so adapted to the water that you can see people talking for an hour, while they are up to their necks in water. Peddlers take care of the supplies and the public transport goes on the water and countless water birds wait for their chance to catch a fish. The journey progresses to a wonderful area full of palm trees, rice fields and floating water plants that surround the boat and form an emerging emerald Green Island. (Overnight on board Houseboat)

Day 11

ALLEPPEY - KOVALAM (175 km - 3.5 h)

Disembark the houseboat and drive to Kovalam beach which is rich with palm trees. The journey through the tropical landscape of Kerala gives a good idea of people living in here. Kovalam beach is one of the most beautiful seaside resorts in India. On arrival Kovalam check in to hotel and rest at leisure (Overnight at Kovalam).

Day 12


After breakfast transfer to the Trivandrum airport to connect flight for Maldives. Your rooms are available untill 12h00. Maldives Airport - Resort Welcome at Maldives airport on arrival by our representative & transfer to the selected resort by Speed boat / Domestic Flight. Relax leisurely at your resort on Half Board Basis.(Dinner & Bfast included)

As Maldives has some restrictions certian nationalities will have to pay a extra supplement please advice us your nationalty when reserving.

Air tickets are not included in our prices to travel Sri Lanka to India (Cochin) or India (Tirivandapuram) to  Maldives. If required we can provide same separately. Sri Lanka Visa charges USD 30 per person  for NON SAARC countries & USD 15 for SAARC countries, can be obtained directly via the internet please visit this site. http://www.eta.gov.lk/ The process is not complicated if you have any difficulty we could make arrangements for same too in 48hrs  to obtain same if details are provided to us by mail.  The process is very simple payments can be paid online & with the confirmation document  print out & code you have to submit  passport on arrival only.  The passport has to be valid for six months from the day of arrival return air tickets & sufficient funds  or reservations for the holiday should be with you. All have to obtain a visit visa except for Singapore & Maldivian passport holders. 

India visa for holiday please apply in your country via the Indian High Commission this has to be obtained prior to arrival in India.

Maldives all passport holders get free visa for holiday on arrival provided they have passport  valid for six months from the day of arrival return air tickets & sufficient funds  or reservations for the holiday.
