If you are fond of nature this is the ideal tour specifically designed for nature lovers. Even though Sri Lanka is a small island it has many nature reserves and wild parks from Tropical Rain Forests to Tropical Montane Cloud Forests spread all over the country due to diverse landscapes and temperature. You can witness animals like Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, Bears, Crocodiles and also Whales in the Ocean by the island. Water falls, trekking reserves, mountain ranges, Rice Fields, coconut, rubber and tea plantations, rivers, the beach and the ocean around the country completes the nature and wild life of the island. The tour is complemented by the island’s rich historical culture and the wildlife and nature abundant with indigenous fauna and flora which makes the island a Micro Image of Asia.

Day 1: Airport / Sigiriya

Meeting with Assistance at the Airport upon arrival by our Representative, later your tour chauffeur will pick you up at the Exit Gate of the arrival terminal to commence the Tour.

You will leave to the Cultural Triangle Region, Visit the Sigiriya town, famous for its historical Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is over 1000 years old and has landscaped gardens, water fountains, a sanctuary and frescoes of the heavenly maidens of Sigiriya.

Overnight stay in the Cultural Triangle Region.

Day 2 Sigiriya / Polonnaruwa / Medirigiriya / Sigiriya

After breakfast, an excursion to Polonnaruwa where you will see many well-preserved ruins of palaces and monasteries. You will witness many brick structures and monuments, stone monuments, Temples, Lakes, and Pagodas improved by ancient Kings.

PM, proceed to Medirigiriya. Which is situated in a beautiful surrounding has a history going in to the pre-Christian era. The Brahmi characters found on the bricks and the some of the stone carvings is an indication of the long history of this site. A well-preserved medicine boat too can be seen here

Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3 Sigiriya / Dambulla / Wasgamuwa

After breakfast leave for Knuckles, En-route visit Dambulla. The ancient Dambulla cave complex dates back to the 3rd and 2nd centuries B.C. The area is also known for bird watching.

Proceed to Wasgamuwa & check in to hotel.

in the afternoon, departure to explore the Wasgamuwa reserve. The park consists of a mixed coniferous and deciduous forest, meadows and wetlands.

Stay overnight at Wasgamuwa with accommodation & dinner included.

Day 4 Wasgamuwa / Matale / Kandy

After breakfast, you will depart for Kandy.

Witness and learn about spices at the Spice Garden in Matale, and experience the great riches of Sri Lankan cuisine and traditional Ayurveda therapy.

Later arrive in Kandy – the Royal Capital of Sri Lanka under the King’s Rule until the British Invasion in 1815. It is also known as the centre of traditional arts in Sri Lanka. In the evening you can view a Cultural Dance. Then visit the most sacred Buddhist establishment in Sri Lanka – the Temple of Tooth at the evening ceremony.

Day 5 Kandy / Peradeniya / Pinnawela / Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast visit the royal botanical gardens of Peradeniya which is best known for having the largest collection of orchids in Asia and many other varieties of plants.

Then, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, one of the most popular attractions in Sri Lanka. It fosters the biggest herd of captive elephants in the world. Witness  the elephants bathing in the nearby river.

Later leave for Nuwara Eliya – the centre of the hill country. Enjoy a plenty of eye-catching and heart-touching places and spend the evening walking in the cool climate.

Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6 Nuwara Eliya / Horton Plains / Kitulgala

In the morning, travel to the Horton Plains Nature Reserve and embark on a guided tour with a resident naturalist guide. It is home to species like the sambar, leopards and the endemic purple-faced langur here. This is a National Park in Sri Lanka in which visitors are allowed to walk & vehicles are not allowed inside the reserve. At the ’Worlds End’ the 2000 meters plateau comes to an abrupt end, plunging 700-1000 meters to the valley floor.

Later continue to Kitulgala for overnight stay.

Day 7 Kitulgala / Sinharaja Forest

After breakfast at the hotel, you have an option of going white water rafting in the river (minimum 2 persons are required & make direct payment – USD 15 per person).

Afterwards, you will drive towards the Sinharaja Forest Reserve, one of the least disturbed and biologically unique rain forests in Sri Lanka. Beautiful Streams, springs, rivers, waterfalls, leopards, monkeys, insects, rare trees, valuable shrubs and medicinal herbs are all found within its green canopy.

Overnight stay in the Sinharaja area.

Day 8 Sinharaja Forest / Ella

After breakfast, the morning will be spent exploring the Sinharaja rain forest Reserve. A trek along the Sinharaja paths would offer an unforgettable experience of sights, sounds and feelings.(No vehicles allowed inside the reserve)

PM, leave to Ella. This small town is used as a base for plenty of trekking expeditions to the surrounding countryside. Also visit the Ella Gap, Rawana Ella Falls, Little Adams Peak and Bambaragala Peak among many other varied pleasant walks with stunning scenery.

Overnight stay in Ella.

Day 9 Ella / Udawalawe

After breakfast, trekking and Hiking along the hills of Ella.

Then you will travel South to Udawalawa. The Udawalawa National Park is one of Sri Lanka’s Dry-Zone, Dry Evergreen Forests that harbours one of Asia’s largest & most viable Asian elephant populations. This park is known for its large number of elephants as well as its three species of deer.

You will spend the afternoon on safari by jeep in the national park.

Stay overnight in Udawalawa.

Day 10 Udawalawe / Yala

After breakfast in the morning you will head to the South-East corner of the island.

PM, travel for a safari in the Yala National Park and enjoy the wilderness as you cruise around in a jeep. The view of the wild elephants seen in small and large herds are undoubtedly the best thing you will see at Yala. You will also witness herds of spotted deer and the sight of a leopard sunning itself or drinking water at a water hole will be a memorable experience. Overnight with dinner included.

Day 11 Yala / Weligama / Beach

After breakfast you will travel to your beach hotel in the South of Sri Lanka. Your journey will take you along the coast and you will be able to see the stilt fisherman in Weligama.

Day 12 Beach Day

Another day of relaxing and enjoying the sun and sea. If you want to explore further, it is possible to hire a boat to take you over to the lighthouse situated on an off-shore island. A steep climb to the top offers a fantastic view of the Sri Lankan coast.

Mirissa has become one of greatest locations in the world for Whale watching and you will be able to spot Blue, Spam and Killer whales.

Stay overnight at the beach hotel.

Day 13 Beach / Galle /Colombo/ Negombo

After breakfast leave for Negombo, En-route visit Galle.

Galle is a city with a colourful history. The 300-year-old Dutch atmosphere is still very much alive around the magnificent Portuguese – Dutch fort and its many historical buildings.

Then visit Colombo, the commercial and financial centre of Sri Lanka. This is a busy and vibrant city with a mixture of modern life and colonial buildings and ruins.

Arrive in Negombo, traditionally a Fishing Village with catamarans by the beach at the backdrop to the Negombo scenery; which later developed as a fishing marketing center.

Relax leisurely and overnight stay at Negombo.

Day 14 Negombo / Muthurajawela / Airport

Muthurajawela is a marsh in the southern region of the Negombo lagoon. It is the island’s largest peat bog in Sri Lanka and is notable for its unique and highly diverse ecosystem. The marsh is a major local and tourist attraction, primarily for sightseeing and boating tours.

The tour ends today, a transfer private vehicle will be provided to take you to the airport for your departure flight.

  • If required we can modify the program to have the last night in a beach hotel south of Colombo or in Negombo  then proceed to the airport. Any other modifications to the program can be arranged as per individual preferences.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY –  You may cancel your booking at any time prior to commencement of       the reservations which has to be acknowledged by our company in writing. If the cancellation is made 15 days before the first date of the reservation we will retain your 1st small deposit to cover our costs. If the cancellation is notified less than 14 days prior to the first date of reservation following additional cancellation charges will apply.

Services Included

  • All rates quoted are in US Dollars & nett per person inclusive of all applicable taxes.
  • Double or twin room sharing basis at mentioned properties or similar.
  • Welcomed at the airport by our representative.
  • Check-in 14h00 & Check-out at 12h00.
  • Six nights on half-board basis (breakfast & dinner) and seven nights on bed & breakfast basis (breakfast only). – Total 13 nights.
  • Air-conditioned private vehicle with an English speaking chauffeur will be provided (Private Tour).
  • No vehicle will be provided on any free days if any (as per program).
  • Fuel & local assurance for vehicle & passengers while travelling included.
  • The chauffeur will look after his own meals & accommodation by himself.
  • Basic private Jeep to visit each reserve included Wasgamuwa reserve/Horton Plains reserve/Sinharaja reserve/Udawalawe reserve & Yala reserve for half a day each.– (Entrance fees to be paid directly by clients at each reserve). Sinharaja & Horton Plains reserves the visits will be done by walking  as vehicles are not allowed to travel inside these two reserves, you will be transported from your hotel & back with a jeep/ van. If for any reason the mentioned reserves are closed, we shall make arrangements to visit another alternate reserve.

  • The right to use video cameras at sites – most places will allow to use video cameras once the entrance fee is paid except at The Temple of the Tooth in Kandy & the Pinnawela Elephant orphanage (USD 05 per Video Camera per location).
  • Medical expenses, travel insurance, international flights.
  • Sri Lanka Visa charges USD 35 per person for NON SAARC countries & for SAARC countries USD 20 per person, can be obtained directly via the internet please visit this site. http://www.eta.gov.lk/. The process is very simple payments can be paid online & with the confirmation document print out & code you have to submit passport on arrival only. The passport has to be valid for six months from the day of arrival return air tickets & sufficient funds or reservations arranged for the holiday should be with you. All nationals have to obtain a visit / tourist visa prior to arrival (Visas are not issued on arrival)

    PCR test done inside 72hrs obligatory to enter Sri Lanka before boarding the flight.

  • There will be extra regulations concerning COVID 19 safety measures in relation to the visit visa –

    (Revised Health Guideline require that all the Passengers / Tourist Guests should be holding a Pre-departure PCR Negative Result Test Report

    done within 72 hours prior to arrival in Sri Lanka. (The passengers should submit original certificate with a properly translated copy in English)

     

    All guest who have received Covid19 Vaccinations should be holding the original vaccination certificate with a proper English Translation,

    (The vaccinations completed the 2nd dose & 02 Weeks should have elapsed  before entering Sri Lanka. These guests will be considered as fully vaccinated guests.   

    All the guests should undergo Arrival PCR (On the arrival day). The results will be provided inside 24hours & the clients can proceed with their tours.

    The 1st night accommodation should be reserved at a hotel authorized by the health authorities near the Katunayaka international airport in Negombo or Colombo.

    (Depending on the Covid situation worldwide certain countries passport holders will not be allowed to enter Sri Lanka.)

    Our Prices does not include (PCR  USD 40 per person -Test  on arrival) as per Sri Lanka Health Ministry Guidelines & the compulsory COVID insurance issued cover for 30days validly – USD 12 per person.

    Children under 12years are exempted from the arrival PCR test but the Covid insurance cover has to be obtained for children too.
