Day 1: Airport / Negombo

Meeting with Assistance at the Airport upon arrival by our Representative, later your tour chauffeur will pick you up at the Exit Gate of the arrival terminal to commence the Tour.

Negombo is traditionally a Fishing Village with catamarans by the beach at the backdrop to the Negombo scenery; which later developed as a fishing marketing center.

Relax leisurely at the beach & stay overnight in Negombo.


Day 2 Negombo / Sigiriya

Have breakfast at hotel (optional boat trip in the Negombo canal), if you prefer you can only visit the Fishing Village and the Fish Market and leave to Sigiriya.

Later arrive in the Cultural Triangle Region. Visit the Sigiriya town, famous for its historical Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is over 1000 years old and has landscaped gardens, water fountains, a sanctuary and frescoes of the heavenly maidens of Sigiriya.

Overnight stay in the Cultural Triangle Region.


Day 3 Sigiriya /Anuradhapura / Mihintale / Sigiriya

After breakfast an excursion to Anuradhapura, known to have the largest number of ancient monuments of a great civilization. There are many stone sculptures and some of the most popular stone Buddha Statues in this historical kingdom.

In the afternoon visit Mihintale, the location where Buddhism was first introduced to Sri Lanka or the Cradle of Buddhist Civilization in the Country.

Later return to your hotel for overnight stay.


Day 4 Sigiriya / Polonnaruwa / Medirigiriya / Sigiriya

After breakfast, an excursion to Polonnaruwa where you will see many well-preserved ruins of palaces and monasteries. You will witness many brick structures and monuments, stone monuments, Temples, Lakes, and Pagodas improved by ancient Kings.

PM visit Medirigiriya. The Medirigiriya Vatadage is on a high circular stage. Although this is a Ruin, the site has fewer natural damages.

Return to the hotel for the overnight stay.


Day 5 Sigiriya / Dambulla / Nalanda / Matale / Kandy

After breakfast leave for Kandy. En-route visit Dambulla. Later visit the ancient Dambulla cave complex also known as the Royal Golden Rock Cave Temple. The area is also known for bird watching. En route visit Nalanda Gedige the Abu Simbel of Sri Lanka. Nalanda Gedige is a remarkable archaeological site in Sri Lanka which features Buddhist – Hindu hybrid Architecture. Visit a spice garden and a batik factory in Matale. Evening arrive at the hotel in Kandy, the last Kingdom of ancient Sri Lanka and the Royal Capital under the King’s Rule until the British Invasion in 1815. Then visit the most sacred Buddhist establishment in Sri Lanka – the Temple of Tooth at the evening ceremony.

Overnight stay in Kandy.


Day 6 Kandy / Pinnawela / Museum / Cultural Dance

After breakfast, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, one of the most popular attractions in Sri Lanka. It fosters the biggest herd of captive elephants in the world. Witness the elephants bathing in the nearby river.

In the afternoon site seeing of the Kandy City, the 2nd highest tourist visiting city in Sri Lanka.   You can visit the Kandy Museum too. The Kandy Temple was earlier the Royal Palace of the King and the Queens Quarters has been located in the present Museum which features the Kandyan Architecture. Evening enjoy a Cultural Dance.

Later return to the hotel for the overnight stay.


Day 7 Kandy / Peradeniya / Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast visit the royal botanical gardens of Peradeniya which is best known for having the largest collection of orchids in Asia and many other varieties of plants.

Later leave for Nuwara Eliya – the center of the hill country. Enjoy a plenty of eye-catching and heart-touching locations and spend the evening walking in the cool climate.

Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.


Day 8 Nuwara Eliya / Ella / Train Trip To Badulla / Ella

After breakfast leave by vehicle to Ella and from Ella station go by train to Badulla or vice versa – one way, as per the availability of the trains. The fascinating One hour Ride passes through tea estates and the misty hills of the Central Highlands. You will see tea estates, villages, and local people including tea leaf puckers on your epic journey. This is one of the great rail journeys of Asia. In the evening pay a visit to a place near Badulla and witness the Dunhinda waterfalls.
Return to Ella for an overnight stay.


Day 9 Ella Region Trekking

This small town is used as a base for plenty of trekking expeditions to the surrounding countryside. Also visit the Ella Gap, Rawana Ella Falls, Little Adams Peak and Bambaragala Peak among many other varied pleasant walks with stunning scenery. The Trekking to Nine Arch Bridge is also attractive because of the unique landscape by the bridge.

Overnight stay in Ella.


Day 10 Ella / Buduruwagala / Yala Or Bundala Reserve / Tissamaharama

Get ready and leave for Tissamaharama, En route visit Buduruwagala. Seven colossal figures carved out of a rock face at Buduruwagala. The rock itself resembles a kneeling elephant with its head bowed down and at the end of the folded trunk is its mouth.

Visit one of the two reserves by private Jeep.

PM, travel for a safari in the Yala National Park and enjoy the wilderness as you cruise around in a jeep. The view of the wild elephants seen in small and large herds are undoubtedly the best thing you will see at Yala. You will also witness herds of spotted deer and the sight of a leopard sunning itself or drinking water at a water hole will be a memorable experience if you are lucky.

(If Yala is closed during September-October the Bundala reserve can be visited instead.)

Proceed to Tissamaharama & Stay with Dinner & overnight.


Day 11 Tissamaharama / Kataragama / Beach

Enjoy the morning excursion to Kataragama – another great pilgrim shrine dedicated to Skanda, a popular Hindu deity popular among Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim and indigenous Vedda communities of Sri Lanka and South India.

Proceed to your beach hotel and in the evening relax and relish a delicious dinner. Stay with Dinner & overnight at the hotel.


Day 12 Beach Day

Relax leisurely at the beach hotel with breakfast & dinner.


Day 13 Weligama / Galle / Colombo

After breakfast leave for Colombo, En route view the stilt fisherman of Weligama.

Galle is a city with a colourful history. The 300-year-old Dutch atmosphere is still very much alive around the magnificent Portuguese – Dutch fort and its many historical buildings.

Then visit Colombo, the commercial and financial centre of Sri Lanka. This is a busy and vibrant city with a mixture of modern life and colonial buildings and ruins.

Stay overnight in Colombo.


Day 14 Colombo / Airport

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for departure. Rooms are available until 12h00 in the afternoon.

  • All entrance fees as per program to be paid directly in Sri Lanka Rupees and it will cost around USD 200 per person. Please change foreign currency in to SLRS at the airport after customs, there are many 24hrs bank counters at the airport as all these payments have to be made only in SLRS. No credit card payments are accepted at these sites.  Subject to change slightly sometimes details are provided with rates as applicable at the moment. (Children under 12 years will be charged half rate 50%)
  •  For Reservations during,  Super Peak Period – 21 December 2020 to 10 January 2021 period please contact us for further details. As Peak supplements apply at hotels during this period & this will change according to the category of hotels and actual days of stay at each hotel.
  • If required we can modify the program to have the last night in a beach hotel south of Colombo or in Negombo  then proceed to the airport. Any other modifications to the program can be arranged as per individual preferences.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY –  You may cancel your booking at any time prior to commencement of the reservations which has to be acknowledged by our company in writing. If the cancellation is made 30 days before the first date of the reservation we will retain your 1st small deposit to cover our costs. If the cancellation is notified less than 30 days prior to the first date of reservation following additional cancellation charges will apply.

  • Personal spending (tips, laundry, mini bar, telephone, fax, beverages etc.)
  • The right to use video cameras at sites – most places will allow to use video cameras once the entrance fees are paid except at The Temple of the Tooth in Kandy & the Pinnawela Elephant orphanage (USD 05 per Video Camera per location extra).
  • Medical expenses, travel insurance, international flights.
  • Sri Lanka Visa charges USD 35 per person for NON SAARC countries & for SAARC countries USD 20 per person, can be obtained directly via the internet please visit this site. The process is very simple payments can be paid online & with the confirmation document print out & code you have to submit passport on arrival only. The passport has to be valid for six months from the day of arrival return air tickets & sufficient funds or reservations arranged for the holiday should be with you. All nationals have to obtain a visit / tourist visa prior to arrival.
